With center heights of 200/250/300 mm and center widths of 1,000/1,600 mm, the KELLENBERGER 1000 is highly versatile. It can accommodate a wide range of workpieces weighing up to 300 kg. Moreover, the generous X-axis strokes of 365 mm and Z-axis strokes of 1,150/1,670 mm further expand its capabilities. In addition, the machine features an automatic 1° indexing axis, which ensures high positioning accuracy. Furthermore, the direct-drive internal grinding spindles, capable of speeds up to 60,000 rpm, allow for efficient and precise grinding processes.

Because the KELLENBERGER 1000 is engineered for maximum shape accuracy, it is equipped with hydrostatic guides on all main axes, which ensure outstanding precision. Additionally, the direct-drive B-axis and the turret grinding head swivel three times faster than conventional systems. This significantly increases productivity while simultaneously reducing non-productive times. This design is especially advantageous when multiple grinding wheels need to be used during the same operation. Moreover, with over 30 grinding head variants, including external and internal spindles, the machine offers unmatched flexibility for complex grinding tasks.

For example, the 19″ touchscreen interface, which is powered by the advanced FANUC 31i-B CNC control system, ensures intuitive operation. High positioning speeds and accuracies are guaranteed by direct drives for the rotary axes. Generous X- and Z-axis strokes in combination with the platform concept for grinding head positions and dressing systems ensure universality and enable application-specific configurations.

The proven integral transport concept (hook machine) has been retained and reduces the machine’s commissioning times and ensures a compact installation space. Durable hydrostatic guides and energy-efficient concepts guarantee a high level of investment security.
